I double checked to make sure, but two pages ago, the red head said her father was Professor Arthur “Torren” so most likely a relative.

Folks. if you go back a ways she mentions her brother Jack is a city guard. Her last name is Torren. That would make her brother Jack Torren. Three guesses what his rank is and the first two don’t count LOL.
