When you have bird meat that is basically chicken but isn’t exactly chicken you have- SORTA CHICKEN!
I would have probably phrased it as “battered and fried chicken (sorta)”. I think that gets the idea across a lot better.

Chickens do exist and this food is usually made with Chickens, but she didnt have a bunch of chicken- so she used general fowl- which in the game- tastes like chicken.
