Makes me hope that in the real world authorities are busy tracking down these people who are trapped in these games and getting them the medical attention they need while working on a way to safely extract them.
How do we know that the real world still exists?
plot twist: a evil anti tech group shut down the main server,, an the fail safe shunted to a protected back up.. BUT, the back up is also the beta test bed, ((they were testing the new version, )) so they dont know, they are there.!!!
